Eirini Chatzi

I am a documentary filmmaker and producer based in Athens, Greece, with studies in English Language and Literature (BA), Film Direction (Diploma) and Cultural Management (MSc). Since 2016, I have been working independently as a video editor and producer on a wide range of audiovisual projects, while also developing my own cinematic work. My filmography includes the documentaries ON LAVENDER (2025, 74’), Remains (2018, 34’) and In Transit (2016, 20’).

The aim of my work is to produce and visualize representations ‘from below’, from the margins of historical archives, from the heart of communities, lives and human narratives.

I use audiovisual representations as a means of observation and exploration of contemporary social phenomena. For me, documentary is the space where image, theory and anthropology meet, converse and produce critical readings of manifestations of our time.
