Synopsis
For two decades, a disused office building in central Athens has served as a self-organized hub for the city’s underground music scene. Following its sale and the eviction of its inhabitants, Hearing Noise documents the community’s final month in the space. Set against the touristification and real estate speculation reshaping Athens, the film reflects on what a city forfeits when its unofficial spaces disappear, and on cinema’s capacity to act as both archive and resistance. The film is currently in post-production.
